Last year I had a wonderful time tutoring a year 12 textiles and design student in her preparation for her major project, which used feltmaking techniques to achieve her incredible final design. Here are the results, and we are thrilled that she has been selected in the 2015 Textiles and Design – HSC Works of Excellence, "Texstyle exhibition", which will be held at the Rosehill Gardens Racecourse on March 3 - 6, 2016.

Francheska had a very strong idea from the start of what she wanted her piece to look like, and by teaching her techniques in feltmaking and some of its more sculptural possibilities, she very creatively went on her merry way of exploration. She has become a very accomplished feltmaker and is a creative artist with an exciting future in front of her, I do believe.
